Ministry Initiatives & Programs

St Michael's is currently offering a full range of ministry initiatives and programming to support the community and faith worship during the covid-19 shutdown. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for regular updates on what's happening, including needs at the food bank, calls for volunteers, community initiatives, and engaging content for children and youth.


Worship on Zoom

St Michael's is offering regular weekly Sunday worship using Zoom. Details can be found on our Worship Page.


Messy Church

A once-monthly family-friendly worship time with a different format, now offered on Zoom. Find details on our Worship Page


The Beeton Cupboard Food Bank

The Beeton Cupboard remains open to serve those in need every Wednesday morning from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. Donations of food and household items can be dropped off Wednesday and Sunday mornings from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Out of the Cold Lunch Program

Our Sunday lunch program has been extended through to the end of May for 2021. Each Sunday at 12:30 PM, take-away lunches are provided to those in need of a meal. No questions asked. To support this program, please contact our office.


Prayer Shawl

Bringing comfort to those experiencing loneliness, grief, and isolation during the pandemic. Do you know of someone who could use this form of caring? Are you a knitter or crafter interested in creating and donating a shawl? Supplies of yarn are available. Please contact us to get involved.


The Green Door Web Series

Fabulous Fridays

Our arts and crafts program for families and individuals in the neighbourhood offered unique activities during the spring shutdown. 650 activity kits were delivered every Friday to the doorsteps of 80 children and their families.


St Michael's Youth Group: Fantastic Friends in Faith

We've taken our in-church Friday children and youth ministry group online for a check-in time with faith development and exploration. FOr details, visit our Children & Youth Ministry Page.


Baking From A Distance

This community initiative allows bakers in the neighbourhood to support the Beeton Cupboard food bank with home-baked goodies to be given out each week. To get involved, please Contact Us


Tuesday Evening Bible Study

Meeting every Tuesday evening for bible study and discussion. Find details on our Faith Development Page.


Bedtime Stories

A once-weekly time for children to have a special story time, including bible stories and a gentle bedtime prayer to help calm the mind and heart. To sign up or find out more, please Contact Us.


The Beeton Garden

This new initiative has been established and run by members of the community looking for ways to support those experiencing food insecurity through the growing of fresh produce in backyards in the neighbourhood. Reach out to us if you'd like to get involved.

Extending Community
One Coffee at a Time

In-person meeting at the Underground is temporarily on hold due to current Covid-19 safety guidelines.

Started as a grassroots community initiative to foster social connection, the Underground Cafe has grown into a regular weekly drop-in event held in St. Michael & All Angels Church Fridays from 10:00 - 11:30 am. Join us for coffee, tea, goodies, and conversation with fellow members of the neighbourhood.

This essential service providing community outreach continues during covid-19 with safety protocols in place.

Self-guided tours of our stained glass in the church sanctuary are temporaroly suspended.
