Our Outreach History
St Michael and All Angels church outreach began with support of the troops in World War 1 and World War 2. Our parish has continued its outreach efforts through programs like the Out of the Cold lunch program, running from October - April each year, and the Beeton Cupboard food bank, which has been volunteer-run for 40 years.
Our outreach team continues to look for ways to be of service to the community and provide outreach to those in need. If you would like to get involved in outreach work, please contact us.
The Beeton Cupboard is a community food bank which provides non-perishable food items to those in need, no questions asked.
The Cupboard is open on Wednesdays 11:00 am - 12:00 pm and can be accessed by the Wychwood Ave entrance.
Donations are always welcome and appreciated, and can be dropped off at the Church Office, Tuesdays through Fridays, 10:30 AM - 2:00 PM.
*On Wednesdays mornings 9:30-11:30 am, please drop donations off at the Underground Cafe, at the main entrance of the Church on St Clair Ave.
For evening drop offs, please contact Lay Pastor Jenni King Feheley by email at
Out of the Cold Lunch
The Out of the Cold kitchen at SMAA runs from mid autumn till late spring every year. Providing hot meals and warm place for a few hours every Sunday, this program is entirely volunteer run.
Different volunteer groups run the kitchen on any given Sunday with up to 40 people using the program on a weekly basis.
Starting at 9:30 with coffee and snacks, the program lasts till clean up, typically 14:30.
