Our Outreach History
St Michael and All Angels church outreach began with support of the troops in World War 1 and World War 2. Our parish has continued its outreach efforts through programs like the Out of the Cold lunch program, running from October - April each year, and the Beeton Cupboard food bank, which has been volunteer-run for 40 years.
Our outreach team continues to look for ways to be of service to the community and provide outreach to those in need. If you would like to get involved in outreach work, please contact us.
The Beeton Cupboard is a volunteer-run community food bank which provides grocery items to those in need, no questions asked.
The Cupboard remains open on Wednesdays 11:00 am - 12:00 pm and can be accessed by the Wychwood Ave entrance.
To Donate: Donations can be dropped off on Wednesday and Sunday mornings, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, when a contact-less drop off bin is set up at our Wychwood Ave entrance (glass doors). For large donations, please contact our office to make arrangements. A list of each week's most-needed items is posted to our social media - follow us on Instagram and Facebook for regular updates @stmichaelonstclair
Out of the Cold Lunch

The Out of the Cold kitchen at SMAA runs from mid autumn till late spring every year. Providing hot meals and warm place for a few hours every Sunday, this program is entirely volunteer run.
Different volunteer groups run the kitchen on any given Sunday with up to 40 people using the program on a weekly basis.
Starting at 9:30 with coffee and snacks, the program lasts till clean up, typically 14:30.
